Menopause, major family losses and giant life changes (hello mid-life) aren’t something a personal training degree prepared me to deal with. I could create and do the workouts, but I didn’t know how to get over the many mental blocks and heartaches I’d had thrown at me in a short time frame. Which meant I was a wreck and my health showed it.

Until I learned to honestly focus on me. To forgive myself for having made poor choices when I knew the science behind those choices and lack of fitness. To come to terms with the fact that it happened and there is only one way to change it now.

Today there are still days I have to remind myself that I come first before taking care of everyone else. That getting up at 4:10am to hit the gym is all about me and worth it.

Letting go of baggage created room for more happiness and that proud feeling is back when I do the workout and make better choices.

Happiness is a choice and so is your fitness. Live with no regrets,
