I’m happy to help promote fire department related fundraisers and events. One of our members is part of the Triad Pink Heals chapter and they are holding a 5k fun run.
I love running races for charity. I’m all about the t-shirts 😉 Races are a great motiviation for training and since the money goes to a charity there’s no reason to say no.
If you’re in North Carolina, please check out how you can help and if you run the race we’d love to see pictures!
Pink Heals Mission
As the Guardians of the Ribbon – Triad, N.C. Chapter Inc. We drive pink fire trucks, pink ambulances, and pink police cars throughout our community and America carrying forth the “Cares Enough to Wear Pink” Movement, and the Message that Pink Heals! We simply provide a program for the community and for community leaders to adopt, helping them fundraise for people, rather than causes. We focus our labor of love on the women of our community, and wage war on anything that may harm her, starting with cancer.
All the members that are Guardians of the Ribbon, in Pink Heals Chapters all over the country are volunteers. Not a single person gets a pay check, none are compensated for our time, and we simply do it because we love it. Pink Heals is unlike any other organization in the fact that 100% of the money that is raised goes to helping families who Not only do we fundraise for people and not a cause, we visit cancer warriors and survivors at their homes, give them hugs, show them love and everyone going through the battle with them gets to sign the vehicle as well.
This year The Triad Chapter for Pink Heals in North Carolina will be hosting the first annual Pink Heals 5K! The money that is raised will go towards the same things as mentioned above. The race will take place on March 29. 2014 at 9 am. It will begin at Fleet Feet in Winston Salem. All the event details have been listed on our event webpage and more information can be found at the following links!
